What to expect
Our diary gets booked up a year in advance, so please contact us to book your appointments as soon as you have ordered your dress, to avoid disappointment. (booking form)
A booking fee of £30 is required to secure your appointments. This is non refundable if you cancel your appointments or don’t show for your appointments.
Your dates are not confirmed until the booking fee has been paid.
You will need to book a first fitting 8-10 weeks before the wedding date or leaving date for destination weddings. Along with a second fitting 2-3 weeks before your wedding /leaving date.
We aim for dresses to be taken at the second fitting, providing you are happy with the fit of your dress. Any additional alterations can be done within a few days, and additional appointments booked.
First fitting
Typically carried out 8-10 weeks before your wedding. If you have less time please let us know, we may still be able to help.
One of our senior seamstresses will greet you ready to try your wedding dress.
You will need to bring your correct wedding shoes and underwear to all fittings, both are crucial to get the correct fit. Failure to do so will result in an additional fitting needing to be booked and additional fees incurred.
We will look over and discuss any concerns you have, then pin the dress to create the perfect fit.
Once the pinning is agreed we will ask you to sign the t&c’s form. This will be emailed to you before the fitting for you to read beforehand.
Appointments are 30 mins unless longer is requested and agreed before booking.
Second fitting
You will try your dress on again and check over the alterations, making sure you are happy with the fit. If you still have any concerns or have lost/gained weight we can carry out further alterations, and have them completed within a few days. Scheduling additional appointments if needed.
The second fitting typically happens 2-3 weeks before the wedding date, or leaving date if you are having a destination wedding.
Shoes and underwear are also required for the second appointment.
Pricing
Each bride is unique and the alterations are individually fitted to your needs. Therefor it is difficult to give an exact quote before the first fitting. After the first appointment you can request a quote.
You can typically expect to pay anywhere from £300-£650 +vat for standard alterations, potentially more for more complicated alterations.

ALTERATIONS TERMS & CONDITIONS – CHERRY WILLIAMS LONDON.
1. Cherry Williams London LTD reserves the right to refuse wedding dress alterations. Even after a first fitting. So please be respectful of our employees.
2. We require a booking fee of £35 to secure your appointments. This fee is non refundable, even if you cancel your appointment, are a ‘no-show’ or choose to not use us for your alterations.
3. Once your dress is pinned and both you + your stylist agree to the alterations, your dress will be altered/adjusted as agreed. If you change your mind about any of the agreed alteration, you must inform us within 24hours. Any later than that any your alterations may have already been started. Especially during peak season. Any additional adjustments required after the alterations have been made will be charged for. Alterations are charged at a standard rate of £70 per hour + 20% VAT. The initial quote for agreed alterations after first fitting is approximate and subject to change. Services cannot be cancelled once works have commenced and payment in full will be due once works are completed. Cancellation of services with Cherry Williams London LTD can be agreed and items returned where works have not commenced on any item.
4.You must bring your correct wedding shoes and underwear to ALL fittings, both are crucial to get the correct pinning. Failure to do so will result in another fitting needing to be booked, and additional fees.
5. Please kindly be on time for all appointments, we have back to back appointments on fitting days. If you are more than 10 /15 mins late, we have the right to cancel the appointment. We would do our best to reschedule, however our calendar fills ups very far in advance, and it may not always be possible.
6.You will receive a final invoice once your alterations are complete, and payment in full is required before you collect your dress. We accept bank transfer, card payments and cash.
7. The person named on the front of the invoice/order will be the only one able to collect the goods unless agreed otherwise in advance with the collector confirming the clients full name and contact number.
8.You will be deemed to have accepted the quality of the alterations and are happy with the final fitting before you leave the premises. Cherry Williams London LTD will not be liable for any discrepancies subsequently discovered. It is essential that you inspect the garment and are completely satisfied with the fit before taking it from the premises. Cherry William London LTD cannot guarantee appointment availability following collection.
9. Ordering of goods. All goods remain the property of Cherry Williams London LTD until paid for in full.
10. Cancellation of goods ordered. Goods may be cancelled before the agreed order date, although the deposit is non refundable. Cancellation of the order is not possible once the order has been completed and/or full payment has been received.
11. Quotes will be sent out a few days after your first fitting.
12. Should any dispute occur regarding the service or the terms and conditions, Cherry Williams London LTD will make reasonable endeavours to resolve. However, Cherry Williams London LTDs decision is final.
13. By accepting our quote you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. DISCLOSURE: Cherry Williams London LTD will not pass on your personal data to third parties. I am happy to proceed with the agreed alterations, accept the t&C’s and understand any additional alterations that have not been discussed previously will incur an additional cost.
